Excel to PowerPoint with AI your real numbers, on editable slides

Drop your Excel file (a monthly report, a budget, a KPI sheet) into Slidy and you get 5 to 35 slides in about 15 to 25 seconds, built from the text and figures in the sheet: key-figure slides, comparison tables, timelines. Slidy reads values, it does not copy your Excel charts, and it never invents a number. Preview and edit for free, then export an editable .pptx for €2.99.

How to turn an Excel file into a presentation

  1. Drop the file. Open Slidy and drop your Excel workbook into the single box. You can add a line of context, for example "Q3 sales review for the board, 10 slides".
  2. Let Slidy read it. It reads the labels and values written in your sheet and uses those figures on the slides; it does not invent any.
  3. Check the draft. In about 15 to 25 seconds you get 5 to 35 slides, with a theme chosen from your topic among 12 and credited photos from free photo libraries.
  4. Fix anything in the browser. Every title, sentence and figure can be edited. Switch theme in one click if the first one does not fit.
  5. Export. Download a native, editable PowerPoint (.pptx) that opens in PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote.

What Slidy does with your figures

A spreadsheet is a grid; a presentation needs a few clear messages. Slidy turns rows and columns into the slide types that suit numbers: key figures (three or four big numbers with a short label), comparison tables (this year against last year, plan against actual, product A against product B), timelines for monthly or quarterly series, step-by-step process slides and 2x2 matrices when your data sorts items on two axes.

Every number on the slides comes from your file. When a slide needs a figure your sheet does not contain, Slidy writes "XX" instead of guessing, so you can spot it and fill it in. Slides are written in the language of your document.

Be clear about the limits

If a native chart matters, export the deck, open the .pptx in PowerPoint and paste the chart from Excel on the slide you want. Everything else stays editable.
From your Excel fileIn the Slidy deck
Cell values and labelsRead and used on key-figure, comparison and timeline slides
Excel charts and pivot chartsNot reproduced: Slidy reads the values, not the chart objects
Cell colours, conditional formattingNot kept: the deck uses one of 12 Slidy themes
Figures missing from the sheetShown as "XX" for you to fill in, never invented

Tips for a better deck from a spreadsheet

  • Keep labels explicit. "Revenue 2026 (€k)" reads better than "Col D". Clear headers give clear slides.
  • Remove what you will not present. Hidden working tabs and raw exports add noise. A short summary tab gives a sharper deck.
  • Say who the deck is for. "Board meeting", "team update" or "client report" in the box changes the tone and the slide count.
  • Mix sources if needed. Paste your commentary as text with the numbers, or start from a report instead: see PDF to PowerPoint and Word to PowerPoint.

Price and what is not included

Every account gets 2 free AI presentations every week with preview and editing, no card needed. The PowerPoint export costs €2.99 per deck, or €9.99 for 5 exports. There is no subscription; pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Slidy does not offer real-time co-editing, comments, team workspaces, brand kits or a free PowerPoint download. The interface is in English. For a monthly reporting routine shared by a whole team, a subscription tool may suit you better: see our comparison of AI presentation makers, prices read on 28 October 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Can AI turn an Excel file into a PowerPoint presentation?+
Yes. Slidy takes an Excel file, reads the text and figures in the sheet, and builds 5 to 35 slides with key-figure, comparison table and timeline layouts. You can edit everything in the browser and export an editable .pptx for €2.99.
Does Slidy copy my Excel charts into the slides?+
No. Slidy reads the values in your cells, not the chart objects, so your Excel charts and pivot charts are not reproduced. The numbers appear on key-figure and comparison slides instead. You can paste a native Excel chart into the exported .pptx in PowerPoint.
Will the AI change or invent my numbers?+
Slidy never invents figures. Numbers on the slides come from your file; when a slide needs a figure your sheet does not contain, it shows "XX" so you can fill it in yourself. Check the draft before exporting, as with any generated content.
Is Excel to PowerPoint conversion free?+
Generating and editing is free for 2 AI presentations every week, without a credit card. Downloading the editable PowerPoint costs €2.99 per deck or €9.99 for 5 exports, with no subscription.
Does the exported file open in Google Slides or Keynote?+
Yes. Slidy exports a native .pptx file with editable text, which opens in Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Slides and Keynote.
