What is free, and what is not

Many "free" pitch deck tools are free trials in disguise. Here is exactly what Slidy gives you without paying anything, as of 10 October 2026:

  • Free: creating an account (Google sign-in, or email and password with a confirmed address).
  • Free: 2 AI generations every 30 days, each producing a complete deck of 5 to 35 slides.
  • Free: previewing every slide and editing text and images in the browser.
  • Paid: downloading the deck as an editable PowerPoint (.pptx) file — €2.99 per deck, or €9.99 for a pack of 5 exports.

You never enter a card to start, and nothing renews automatically. Once a deck is exported, downloading it again does not use another credit. While you still have export credits, the 2-generation limit does not apply, so you can iterate on a deck you intend to buy.

How to generate a pitch deck for free in 4 steps

  1. Create a free account. Sign in with Google, or with an email address you confirm. Disposable email addresses are refused, which keeps the free tier available for real founders.
  2. Give Slidy your raw material. A one-line idea ("B2B SaaS that automates invoice reconciliation for SMEs"), your existing notes, or a business plan as PDF or DOCX. For a short topic you can switch on web research so the deck includes up-to-date context.
  3. Pick the length. Between 5 and 35 slides. For a first investor meeting, 10 to 15 slides is the usual range: problem, solution, market, product, business model, traction, competition, team, financials and the ask.
  4. Review and edit. Read the deck in the browser, fix any number that is not yours, and replace placeholder images with your product screenshots. Export only when it is right.

Slidy writes the slides in the language of your input, so a French business plan produces a French deck. The interface itself is in English.

What makes a pitch deck worth sending

A generator saves you the blank-page hours, but investors still judge the content. Before you export, check these points on every deck — Slidy's structure helps, your facts make the difference:

  • One idea per slide. If a slide needs two titles, split it. Slidy varies layouts so the deck does not look like a wall of bullets.
  • Real numbers only. The AI cannot know your revenue, retention or pipeline. Replace any figure that is illustrative with your own, or remove it.
  • A clear ask. Amount, use of funds, and the milestones it buys. This is the slide most first drafts get wrong.
  • A competition slide that is honest. Name the alternatives your customers actually use today, including spreadsheets.

Why the export is paid instead of a subscription

Most AI presentation tools charge a monthly or yearly subscription. That makes sense if you build decks every week. Most founders do not: they rebuild the pitch deck before a fundraising round, then again a few months later. Paying for twelve months to use a tool three times is the trap Slidy avoids.

With Slidy you pay €2.99 for the deck you actually send, or €9.99 for 5 exports if you prepare several versions (seed deck, short teaser, demo-day version). Payment is one-time, by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and every payment is confirmed by email. See the full reasoning on our no-subscription page.

When Slidy is not the right choice

We would rather you pick the right tool than be disappointed:

  • You need a free download, not just a free draft. Slidy's free tier does not include the .pptx file. Some tools let you export on their free plan, usually with their branding.
  • You work as a team in real time. Slidy has no shared workspace or live co-editing; one person builds the deck, then shares the file.
  • You want a scrolling web page, not slides. Slidy produces presentation slides for PowerPoint, not a website-style document.
  • You need a pixel-perfect copy of an existing design. Slidy rewrites your content into new slides with its own themes.

Free to generate and edit

Every account gets 2 AI generations every 30 days. You see the full deck, slide by slide, and can rewrite text or swap images before deciding anything.

Pay once, only to export

Download the editable PowerPoint file for €2.99, or €9.99 for 5 exports. One-time payment by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. There is no monthly plan to cancel.

Three ways to start

Type a topic (Slidy can research the web for short prompts), paste a long text or outline, or upload a PDF or DOCX document.

A file investors can open

The export is a standard .pptx you can open in PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote, then save as PDF for your data room.

Stop staring at a blank slide.

Generate your first deck for free. Export only when you are ready to ship.
